Q&A:

Q. What is physical therapy?

A. Physical Therapy is a health care service in which a licensed professional works with you to build back strength, flexibility, and other skills to return to prior functional ability after an injury, illness, surgery, or other diagnosis.

Q. Do I have to be homebound to receive house-call services?

A. NO! You will receive treatment similar to outpatient therapy clinic services but in the convenience of your own home.

Q. Do I have to have fitness equipment at my home?

A. NO! Your therapist will bring mobile equipment that suits your needs. However, if you have exercise equipment at home you'd like to use, that just gives us extra tools to work with!

Q. Will I have the same therapist every time?

A. YES! With Mains Physical Therapy we pride ourselves on giving you continuous one on one care with our dedicated Physical Therapist who will see you throughout your plan of care!

Q. How long is a typical treatment?

A. Each person's needs will vary, but an initial visit is around 60minutes and follow up appointments range from 30-60minutes depending on your needs, abilities, and time schedule.

Q. Do I have to see a physician first?

A. No. Kansas allows for direct access for physical therapy. Insurance companies may require your provider to sign off on your therapy to be covered, so it is always good to check with your insurance provider.
